Arizona Temple and Pageant

One of the best parts of our trip to Arizona was being just 12 km away from the temple. I didn't realize how close it was. My only regret is we didn't go more. Before we left, we got London a temple recommend so that she could go do baptisms for the dead. She had a wonderful time. It is a very beautiful temple inside and out.

They had a beautiful little visitor centre as well.

The grounds are breath taking and I could have stayed there for days just enjoying it!

Oranges were in season while we were down there. I can never get over seeing fruit on trees. I think that is such an amazing creation! I wish we could have orange and lemon trees here.

They have their own little desert oasis as well.

London's skirt was see through as we didn't bring a slip (oops) so we were teasing her the whole time. That is why her hands are like that! lol

I always think it is so funny that the birds sit on the cactus down there! Crazy things! There are safer and softer places!

That night, we were able to go see the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant. I called because it didn't start until the Wednesday evening, the day we left, but luckily they had a dress rehearsal, so we went along with thousands of others to watch. It was my first pageant ever. It was beautiful but not my favorite. It was more artistic than spiritual and they tried to fit in so much. I was disturbed to see Jesus always running scene to scene. The cast was huge! I would say over 200. They had live animals and the sets were amazing! The whole thing was great, but I just think they could have done better to make it more spiritual.

My camera wouldn't work in the dark...so this is one of the only pictures.

I think it is so nice she could do walk in baptism's! How special for you to be able to go to the Temple as a family and know that you are all doing the Lord's work at that time. I am so happy for your family to have had this time away.
